Hi Guys

Managed to aquire a Sony DCR PC8E Digital Video Camera has everything except cable and Software to connect to PC

I am sure I can get that sorted

I want to be able to edit the film and add a few titles NOTHING FLASHY

What do people recomend software wise?

Windows XP movie maker, does what it says on the tin and you've probably paid for it already.

Right edited it but I can only view it in that format

can't seem to save as

You should be able to use File | Save Movie File then choose what resolution you like. If you're looking to save it as anything other than .wmv then you're stuffed unless you want full quality .avi
