Maps on mobile phone... is there anything better than multimap?
For occassional use I think it's not probably worth shelling out for a full map package such as wayfinder or tomtom etc. I have found multimap comes up OK in the web browser.
It takes a while to come up with the page and obviously you pay for the amount of info you download on a page and there is loads of uneccesary stuff there.
Does anyone one know of a site that will do the same job but tailored more to mobile phone access?
I found one that looked promising - but they wanted 25p per map downloaded - and you only got access to that for 24 hrs...
Cheers
Mick

Have you priced TomTom WITHOUT the gps receiver? It still works damn well as a map and direction system even without the gps function - I know I have tried it several times and quite happy with it.... Sure it doesn't know where you are but the map and step by step directions are pretty good.
