Real live Excel wizard help pls!
Dunno if Excel does this, but...
I have a list of assets that need to be shared between two people. The split has been agreed at 60:40, so column one needs to give 'her' 60% split of the total and column 2 needs to give him 40% split of total.. What I want Excel to show is PERCENTAGE apportionment of the current allocation per person - I dont want the cash value displayed [as when I use a formula like =sum(b5:b25)x.06]. The reason I want this is to be able to 'dynamically' watch the percentage split value changing as we move assets between 'his' and 'her' colums to try to achieve this split.
Poor buggers - its about all I can do to help before they get proper legals in to finalise...
Thanks for any help.

If I understand correctly column 1 will have cash values for 'her and column 2 cash values for him, yes?
You'd want something like the sum of column 1/(sum of column 1 + sum of column 2) * 100 (or just expressed as a percentage) for 'her' and (1-(sum of column 1/(sum of column 1 + sum of column 2))) * 100 for 'him'
Might get a bit more complicated if the 60/40 split is per asset

Cant get formula for column one to work =1/(G48+H48)/100. It gives a result of zero.
This whopper for column 2 works =(1-(G48/(G48+H48)))*100 It gives a logical looking 34% (he's therefore due a biit more!!!)
Can you look at that first one for me agaon mate - VERY much appreciated.
