Hi

Im trying to do a simple audit of all our computers here by useing VBS.
I can get all the serails numbers from Computers, HDD, etc. but im have great trouble trying to get the monitor serial number.

any one have any ideas.

Its stored in the Registry in hklm\system\currentcontrolset\enum\display\[monitorname]\{some value}\device parameters\edid

But you cant tell which one of those monitors is active.
You can get some info from WMI but cant seem to find the serial number.

SMS can pull the data as can other programs but i think its something where you have to probe the monitor for the info..

Just want to see if any one had done this.

Incase any one else is intrested.. Look here for scripts.. They do work.. Just not all the time. But its better than not at all in my case.
