Default Pics to DVD

Got a load of pictures, which I would like to create some sort of presentation slideshow and is playable on most DVD players so I can watch it on the TV.

Any ideas on software which will do this?

TIA

Looks good, but the plug-in to burn to DVD costs £.

Anything "freeware"

sorry i didnt see the cheapskate request in your post

not quite sure if you can export the slideshow and then burn it in nero onto dvd.
there are tons of freeware stuff out there that do this stuff, will have a look later
TBH, i use a mac most of the time and this sort of thing is built in and free so i suppose we take it for granted.

will be back later with more info

I just copy the lot straight onto a CD, put the disk in and press play... voila! Should work with most DVD players.

You can try "MyDVD" from Sonic, or one of the Ulead products (can;t remember which one) there's a trial for both.

Either do the whole show there and burn or do the show in something like movie maker and then import and burn.

The best product I've found (And used!!) is "Memories on TV".You can basically do loads with it and have your own menu system ie You have multiple sets of photos you want to go onto the DVD like wedding snaps, birthday, xmas etc etc....
They can each have their own icon on the menu that you click and then they play. You can add background music of your choice (It accepts mp3's too) and this can be different for each set of photos...
The best part of it is that it has random transition effects that it uses when switching from one pic to another.I've found with other software you can only use one transition effect per slide show (Which then gets a little boring!) whereas with this it randomises the effects.
I made a DVD last year for my sons second birthday party and everyone was really impressed as I had it running on my laptop in the kitchen!!

Good luck

Nick
