Getting close to US realease date now, just wondered if anyone had a cast iron example of a US title playing on the Jap console. Someone must have tried it by now.

Had a look on amazon and the UK release date has slipped till the end of june now I'm still palying NFS remix about 50% of the way through it now . It really is a huge game for a handheld.

What I heard is that region coding is possible and available, it's just that game developers so far haven't decided to use it. So, you may find in the future there may well be games which won't work...

btw, it hasn't slipped again. Sony have never announced a release date so how can it have slipped? The amazon date is just a guess on their part to try and drum up some pre-orders. My guess is it might be autumn / xmas before it appears

I doubt many games develpers would choose to reduce their market.

No, but they may decide to release the same game in different countries at different price points, (i.e the old pound=dollar exchange rate). Implementing region coding would enable them to do that without reducing their market.

(Note this already happens with xbox / ps2 games - so why should the psp be any different in the long term)

only reason I say it "slipped" is a lot of my friends laughed when I bought a jap psp saying amazon has it for 179.99 and it'll be here in march. LOL

I see your point, but, they can and will still do that. People like me will still go to shops - here and abroad - and pay over the odds. Not everyone - me anyway - likes buying online.

Jack have you tried NFU Wifi yet ?

Reading up it seems it's the first game to support Infastructre Racing. That should mean it looks out through your AP to find players on the net

I don't think it does. Just found a translation guide that's almost complete, helped me turn off the motion blur anyhow - trying to finish the Nitrous races with it on is a nightmare.

Can't do the Gold Series 9 and any past Bronze Series 10. Those are the only ones I have left to win. Do you get anything for completing?

Think I won an old (1969 ) car ? charger or Mustang ... can't remember what it is.

My skyline it 100% all the way with 110% on a few of the Engine parts now. Gonna have to buy all the cars in the game to complete the last section.
