ADSL Question
Hi,
A mix up with an order for ADSL has left me with ADSL being active on my phone line (according to BT), but me not having to pay for it.
Does anyone know how I can use this without the usual broadband usb modem and having to enter a username and password to connect to a server?
Cheers

You won't be going anywhere without a username and password because you need to authenticate against a RADIUS database before you will get any access.

The BT guy said something about using an ethernet adaptor rather than a USB modem as then I wouldn't need a username to connect. I guess he's talking pish? He did offer to sell me one though LOL
I'm not too clued up on the networking side so I wouldn't know.
Cheers

Even with an ADSL ethernet based modem/router, you have to page in through I.E. then put in your username and password for connection and re-connection.
