What kind of back-end script are you looking to use?

you won't find free ones for e-commerce...maybe for the general design you would get a template (I got quite a few of Bittorrent) Look for Photoshop web templates.

If you are going to have a catalogue etc you r gonna need either a database back end or some sort of host that already provides that service - if you are gonna make money from the site ou can be sure that others will want to as well

Also take into consideration how much traffic you expect to generate - if it is going to be a busy site you may need to look for professional business hosting. Free stuff is never that good and you don't want your site going down for any length of time (thus losing u business) just cos you are not paying

Well you can get an open source e-commerce solution from here www.oscommerce.com and it is fully featured and in use quite alot. That said theres still alot of work to do if you want to set one up and you need a reasonable amount of technical knowledge. The other option is just to have e-commerce functionality within a hosting package, www.oneandone.co.uk who are one of europe's largest hosts do a thing called e-shops and its very cheap and easy to use.

Good Luck

Gary
