Default Any free benchmarking utils around ?

I used to use onion3d but I see it's now only a commercial package what does everyone use these days that free ?

3DMark (now on 05 if you really want to bring your hardware to its knees) is still free for the basic version.

Or there's Aquamark, which isn't quite so 'hardware intensive'.....

Main ones are 3DMark 2003 and 2005 (yes, both have free versions), PCMark (I think 2002 is still the only version?), and SiSoft Sandra. If you are in it for bragging rights then those are the ones to use.

Cheers, I really want to ensure my PC is running to spec compared to similar PC's etc

I think it's running a tad slow at the moment

i used http://www.passmark.com/ a few weeks ago for a uni assignment.
