Type of ram Pentium 4 mobo would take ?

Would it be safe to assume a Pentium 4 motherboard would take PC2700 ram ?

Depends on the motherboard. I've seen some that will, and some that won't...

Really old P4s take RAMBUS, so we are going to need more details: motherboard if known, otherwise the computer model.
