Question Laptop advice?

looking to get a laptop in the near future.

HP Pavilion ZD7000's look to be good spec + resonable prices on ebay...

Any advice or similar spec machines to consider?

Definitely want - good quality 17" screen, wireless network connection.

Not really used laptops before so advice appreciated.

Cheers

Mick.
I do not know much about the HP laptops.
I did however try to buy seveal laptops off of ebay and towards the end of the bidding there was a frenzy of bids. The laptops ended up going for retail money. TBH i would rather buy one from a reputable store. There are some reasonable deals out there at the mo, even PC World (shudders) have some deals.

HP have their own shop where they sell end of line products etc all with 12 month warranty. I bought a Compaq laptop and printer/scanner/copier last year for a good price, but you've got to set yourself a maximum price to pay and keep bidding on different items until you win one. Not really ideal if you're in a hurry for one but you can pick up a bargain.

Here are the items they currently have for sale on Ebay.
