Running 14ips on one win2k3 server
Hi peeps,
Heres a quick question I hope. I have 14 sites that I want to host on one my new dedi boxes. How do you do it under 2003. Please dont tell me I have to run my own dns server on the box

if choose properties on TCP/IP and then click advanced, you can add the IP's to the server.
You can then assign the IP address to the site when creating it.
Probably not the best way of doing it though.
We have to do some sites this way for FTP though.

You can use SSL on each different host since they will have seperate IP addresses, it's only name based virtual hosting, many hosts on the same IP, when you can't (well, one of them could, but not the rest )

Indeed, but you can't use the same IP for multiple SSL sites.
If the sites are just normal HTTP, then you don't really need 14 IPs in the first place. Use host headers.
