Partitions in Windows XP
Havent installed XP for ages. Just building new pc and booted up using XP CD. Created primary partition of 40gb (from 152gb). However it didnt let me create any further partitions - it just went straight into installing Windows once it had formatted.
XP is now working but I want to create another two seperate partitions for games and mp3/digi photos.
Whats the easiest way to do this? If I boot to cd again all it talks about is repairing or reinstalling XP which I dont want to do.
I also found diskpart under windows but its a bit un user friendly.
Cheers,
Simon.

Right click on 'My Computer' and select 'Manage'.
Choose Disk Management from the left hand pane.
On the right hand side you should see your hard disk at the bottom. 40gb will be taken up by your partition. The other 120gb (ish!) should be showing as unused.
Right click on the unused and create partition, then a logical drive and then format it. Make sure you quick format
