Make WinXP dvd region free - how ?
#2
XP is region free anyway.
There are basically 3 things in dvd terms that are usually region lockable. Your dvd drive (xp just gives you a interface to manipulate the region coding on the hardware), the software decoder and if you have one, a hardware decoder card.
Software decoders can be region free via a region switcher application for your specific software or a application patch if its not region free already.
Dvd drives if locked can be unlocked with applications or permanently with patched rpc1 bios's.
There are also many other methods around this but these are just the basic ones most people go for.

You could use software like DVD Region Free (http://www.dvdidle.com/) instead. No need to flash the firmware.
