Default Setting up bittorrent (Azureus)

Im very new to all this bit torrent buisness and I have downloaded Azureus.
When I click on the application I want to download , it says connection failed.

The incoming TCP listening port is set to 6881, do I need to change this?

I really dont have a clue how to set this up, all advice welcome and needed!

Do you have a firewall?

Perhaps you're just not cut out to be a criminal.

Only criminal if you fileshare copyrighted material - e.g. music, films, games etc.

So if like the rest of us you use it for sending large files to clients e.g. databases, spreadsheets etc then what you need to do is open port 6881 in Zone alarm.

Of course Lightning101.

On a similar note we - McAfee - had 6000 copies of our software robbed from a Lorry last night by 'proper' criminals. Keep your eyes peeled.

I would never knowingly use anything that was stolen off a lorry

If it fell off the back though.....
