Default Quick iPod Mini Question.

Does it jump and is the volume good enough? Rachel wants one for xmas but she'll be using it at the gym only for running etc etc. Gets a little noisey in there in the evening so the volume would have to be good enough.
?

Thanks,

Andy.

Certainly on my original ipod I use it at the gym without any problems. In theory I probably shouldn't because jogging a hard drive based machine isnt a good idea but I've not had any problems in the last year.

The volume on the UK/European models is by default lower than the US versions but there is a software mod that can increase this.

The above is all based on the original ipod but im sure the same principles apply to the mini.

I have a Mini, used in the gym a few times no problems with it at all. Prefer my wee 512MB solid state player for the gym though, much lighter, better battery life etc etc....

As for volume it's OK out of the box - although there are a few utils to remove the volume cap ( EU regulations ) GoPod and euPod spring to mind hwich make things a lot better on that front.

Cheers. I've got a solid State iRiver player for the gym which is brilliant. Thing is she wants a player in pink. Hence....

OK went to the Apple store website about to place the order, then saw the picture...
Bugger me! They're THAT big? I had no idea. I'm not sure the missus does either. Better check. :SIGH:

They're quite small in the flesh you know. Smaller than I had thought

They are hardly brick sized? Smaller than a Sony Ericsson T610.
