Just started playing and I'm in San Fierro

Can someone tell me where the flight school is so I can get around the map a bit quicker ?

Flight school is on the top island in the 'aircraft boneyard'. You'll have to complete a seriously large number of missions before it officially opens up. If you're feeling brave you can swim over, but you'll get an instant 4/5 start rating and the cops'll chew your **** off so there's not really much point other than to get a quick look-in. Whether you even can get all the way up to the school (in the control tower) is another matter as the school icon to walk into may well not be there yet...

You can try and get into the Los Santos airport by jumping the fence (line up some cars/vans near the fence to climb over) but again, you'll not get to the other islands without major aggro. This is probably the best bet - try and jumpt the fence to the airport, nick a plane and get over (quickly, before being shot down ) to the boneyard. Jump into the school icon if it's there and do what you can in the lessons. Once you have completed a certain amount of flight school, you'll get a pilot's licence which lets you in the airports whenever you fancy it.

If you just fly around in a plane stolen from LS you'll eventually get a licence, but there's no real point other than saving a few seconds jumping the fence.

I'm 30-odd % through, up to Mu-Zi-?? San Fierro missions, have I missed the jetpack or parachute earlier on?

You'll know when you get the Jetpack as you use it in the mission.

You need to finish off the San Fiero mission streams, gain access to the top island, and then complete the airfield missions on before you get the jetpack. You're a long way off being able to get hold of jet pack without cheating.

how do you do that remote control planes mission for that electronics bloke

Which one? The first one was super painfull, make sure you only try it in the daytime and watch the radar, the planes arrive in the same order everytime, go for the groups of four.

no, the one when you fly the plane yourself and shoot the couriers

i did the mini gun one on the 3rd attempt!!

Oh that one, don't fly flat out all the time and land to shot the couriers when you can. Good work with the first one, took me way too many attempts.

Completed 50 taxi misions - All taxi's now have nitrous fitted to them, mind you, it looks more like a butane can in the pipe
Completed 100 of the tags - AK, micro mp5, molatov and sawn off all spawn at your house (Doing this on foot does your muscle and stamina wonders!!)
Completed Level 12 on paramedic and your health bar doubles in length! (easiest to do this from the hospital in montgomery out in the countryside!!)

IIRC, complete Level 12 on fire missions and in the last 2 games you were fireproof.... I think this is the next one for me to try out

Complete level 12 fire fighter and you are fireproof

Did this one up near montgomery again, the only problem is the fire engine can quite easily end up on its roof when you cut across country (did this twice, once at level 10 and once at level 9 )
