I remeber a few years ago a paint package that came free with a capture card and it was a doddle to use - no advanced functions - just simple rescaling, rotating, etc...

Anyone recommend a good no brainer paint package like this for a friend of mine? (I'm a photoshop user but don't expect him to pick that up)

My daughter loves Disney Print studio, and I think you can get it free on the cover of some magazines.


It does all of the things you mention, plus you get to colour donald duck and mickey mouse.


I've heard, and i'm sure a few others will back me up here that it is regarded as a better all round package than Adobe Photoshop 8 CS.


Although with Deputy Dogg Design Studio in the pipeline, you might want to hang fire.

personally I find the trilinear filtering on an image reduction far superior in DAFFY DUCKS PHOTO FANTASIATHON ;-)

Yes but it has its limits especially when you want to alter the Huey Luey and Duey channels.

The cut down alternative to photoshop elements is also on the shelves for christmas - think they've called it - Sorcerers Apprentice and its meant to be magic.
