Default Bittorrent - Torrent Locations

I've tried supernova.org and it's good, but it's not listing exactly what I'm looking for (episode of Canadain prog), so I want to look elsewhere for it.

Anyone got a list of good torrent sites?

Hello

Is Suprnova up? I haven't been able to gain access for a few days.

Thanks,

I find that IE has "problems" loading suprnova.org so use mozilla instead.

XP with SP2 - very suspicious.

Hello

So suprnova is up right now (for example), as I've been trying to get in for a while.

Hello

Mmmm .. well in the meantime I found http://www.litenova.org/ which is okay.

I just wanted desperate housewives (the TV series!), a new episode of which aired on Sunday in America.

what I've found is with the no register sites they are full of leechers. ****** and run and all you get is 4k per sec. Any sign up site I used allways max's out my connection on every torrent.

IF you can seed and keep your ratio above 1:1 then the register sites are the ones for you. Suprnova is a last resort for me.

Thanks for the info chaps. I should be able to dedicate a machine as a torrent client, so the seed will be there, which should, in theory give me a good ratio.

Same here, be good if they release it on DVD.

Suprnova has been dead for me now for two days. Desperate housewives and space 1999 to download.

Depends what you are after ? I tend to use the alt.binaries.cd.image.whatever or just alt.binaries.whatever groups. Have a search on Newzbin.com for what you are after

Hello

Well, I can as well every so often. Even in Toronto as well! (which I thought was a bit grotty -- but I only ever go to the Holiday Inn by the airport)

Area around Airport is a bit grim.

Next time you're in the TO, give me a shout. The office is rather close to the airport, so a pint might be in order. Just get on over to the Outback and get the bloomin onion ordered, I'll be able to smell it from here lol

Hello Mike,

Download a copy of Grabit and a copy of QuickPar.

Get your newsgroup server name and username/password from your ISP, if they have one.

Either do a search using Grabit for a title or filename (use Newzbin to see whats current) right-click the flie and choose Default Server . . . then it will download . . . . . flat out usually The alternative is to subscribe to a specific group, full/incremental update and browse for files. If its a big file set, make sure you download the par/par2 files that go with it, you can then repair the set using QuickPar if some are missing data or missing completely. Even if a fileset is incomplete, if you have enough good par files you can recover the missing data.

Some ISP's supply newsgroup access FOC, but many will restrict access to the 'binaries' groups. Retention and completion of files varies between providers too. You can always signup to a premium service if you can't get good group access with your ISP.

Once, you get the hang of it, you won't look back. Just make sure you have a big HDD, because it soon fills up when you are downloading at full speed all of the time
