Default How do you download music from the web?

As title.

Everytime I go to an MP3 site I get dozens of adverts and not the music I want! and even then it doesn't work.

I'm not sure of the title artist so can't buy it from the shops ...

I can't see how you get an MP3 off the net? Is there a way?

Yep use a paid for service and you wont have any problems! I just use itunes now for 79p a track I know Im getting a track with a decent encoded bitrate and sample rate with no glitches and the track is what I expect it to be, too much garbage on p2p now for my liking.

Yup, echo that, there are too many unreliable files on the p2p networks these days. Its rare that I download from there only the odd one now and again if its not available on iTunes which is rare.

Thumbs down

Aren't you stuck with .mp4 format with i-Tunes? OK if you've got an i-Pod, I suppose.

Cheers

i go to a paid download site, its £7 for as many downloads as you want for 3 months, it takes about 15 minutes to download a cd so its much easier to pay the few £££ for convenience, than have your pc on for ever trying to get stuff from all the P2P sites

Does it carry any white label etc stuff? Or is it all pretty mainstream? Sounds quite good value for money!

I've heard of that site Arron mentions before. The latest Green Day album is $1.30 Not sure how much I actually trust the site though. Screams Russion Mafia to me

No one any nasty experiences with CC fraud using that site?

I used to use it before there was a real legal alternative, and to be honest its not that bad. I just don't like the idea of giving them cash, when its quite clearly illegal and as you ay probably funding the Russian Mafia.

what is white label stuff ??? i use it to get the stuff what most people dont put on thier websites , just got "the smiths " , "primal scream" the human league" and loads of other older stuff, but they do have lots of modern stuff as well, i think they have about 15,000 cd albums on thier sites, might be more
