Windows 2003 Shadow copy
Is anyone using it on any production servers.
We currently use Novell which has a built in salvage files option which monitors when files are deleted and they get placed in a salvage folder for easy recovery by the admin team, without having to start restoring from Backup's.
How have you found the load SC puts on the disks during schedule? How often do you schedule your shadow? How useful have you found it?
I played with this on a server whilst I was on a training course and it locked up everytime the schedule ran. I had scheduled it to copy every 5 minutes though.
