fine here. . . if you have been upgrading from one version to another they recommend uninstalling & re-installing

Was using it until they officially released version 1. All the betas and pre-releases worked fine, but I've had loads of problems with the official final release, (mostly rendering problems). I'm not the only person to have the problems either and a few other people here at work are seeing the same thing. Doesn't seem to affect all machines though...Weird....

used all versions, even betas. Betas had a few issues. No problems in v1.0 yet.

Yes I used 0.8 for quite some time and never encountered any problems, since upgrading to 1 I have actually had it crash on me a couple of times when rendering flash pages. all in all though still good.

Aha. CW. Understood. I use FireFox under OS X and it is the best browser bar none. Sadly it means I don't get to play with CoolWeb. You Windows lot get all the fun.

Yes, it's good. Has some problems with sites that are coded entirely for IE (I can't use some of the M$ management web consoles).

Never had any problems with general browsing and I've all but ditched IE completely. Has built-in protection for pop-ups and ads. You can use Tab browsing preventing loads of seperate browser windows. It's virtually eliminated adware and malware from being installed on my PC and I hardly need to use Spybot or Ad-aware anymore.

It's free, so download it and try for yourself.

there is a nice extension you can plug in which lets you right click and "view this page in IE" for those odd trouble websites.

Useful - have you got the link Phil ?

Firefox is very nice. I too have all but ditched IE. The only thing you need IE for is the Windows Update feature, unless Phil's plugin solved that aswell?
