Question Free email accounts - cancellation thru' inactivity

I'm looking for a supplementary free email account facility that will only be used very rarely (perhaps once a year).

I know that many free email providers automatically cancel accounts if they are "inactive" for more than, say, 6 months.

Does anyone know of any with either no cut off period, or one of 12 months or more?

TIA

Hello

I don't think that Yahoo cuts you off if you don't use it?

Why don't you just use Hotmail (for example - 30 days cut-off), and send yourself an e-mail from one of your addresses to the other each month to keep it live?

Nope, no such thing as a free lunch I'm afraid, if you want an email account to remain active then it has to be paid for, someone like www.oneandone.co.uk do basic packages from around £1.99 a month which include email addy's.

I meant that he should go into that address and send an e-mail (rather than just receive them) - that should keep it alive.

btw why do you need a specif account if you're not gonna use it that often.
however with hotmail, you can sign up again with the same username etc.
BUT you will lose all mail that was in it already

With hotmail you have to log in to your e-mail account every 30 days, not recieve an e-mail.

PM me if you're interested.
