Unix file shredder?

We are decommissioning a Unix box and want to securely wipe some database files, anyone know the best way to do this? We don't want to destroy the disks as someone is buying the kit.

There is some stuff on freshmeat for this, securedelete is one I've heard of, have a look around there.
