Default DVD burning - Dual Layer?

I have a Pioneer 108 and have just got a 8.5Gb Double layer DVD+R disk. I use Record now max but it keeps asking me to put a disk into the drive when I want to write to the 8.5Gb disk?

Normal 4Gb disks work fine, I was just wondering if its the version of Record Now Max which I have?

Anyone use any other software which works with these larger DVD disks?

Thanks

I use Nero and DL DVD's just show up as larger disks, have you had a look to see if there is an update for the software your using ?, how much did you pay for the disks BTW ? the last time I looked they were £4 per disk

Yea I will check for updates. I also have Nero so I will try that too.

I only got the one disk to try, to see what the quality was like as I won't have to compress the DVD film to fit a 4Gb disk, I got it from SVP and yes it was about £4 also.

Record Now Max v4.5 should support +DL burning.

Orlogix/Sonic have changed the app to Record now DX, i'm not sure if 'Max' is still supported/update-able.
If yo find you're running an older version, drop me a mail and i'll send you an update.

Hopefully it wasn't a piece of Datasafe +DL media you bought, we've found a high percentage of them fail on the second layer so we never sold them to the public.

Decent (tried n tested) +DL media; Verbatim, Ridisc & Traxdata

I have V4.50 of Record Now Max so will have to see if there are any updates.

Yes it was a Datasafe DVD+R DL I got this is the first DL disk I have tried so no idea of its the disk, drive or software?

When I try to put anything on the disk it just keeps ejecting the DVD disk saying please insert a blank disk, which it is because it was straight out of the shrink wrap?
