Since you lot have been jabbering on about mame on the XBox I was wondering.....

How does it compare to the PC version? Do the games run OK, any jerkiness? Is the hardware up to it?

Was pondering getting a second xbox to have as one of these media things, but could also build a PC to do the same as I have half a PC in bits already. Just looking for the best option really.

If the games play OK with no choppiness, might go for another XBox as a project if I can find one cheap enough

some games play some dont depending on the emulators , but more play than dont

What about the later ones like later Mortal Kombats, Killer Instinct, etc.?

Would love to play Track & Field and Hyper Sports on the TV though

they are all on the snes stuff etc and they all work , its just some of the really early mame stuff

That works or doesn't work? I'd sooner play the full arcade version than the SNES ones, although KI on the SNES was rather nifty

Anything has got to be better than the arcade machine we used to have, size wise anyway
