Don't know of hiding it other than sending it as a Blind Copy (BC). There's no way (that I know of ) of hiding it when using the To: or CC: fields.

If the BC: field isn't shown in Outlook Express, you should be able to turn it on in the options somewhere. Sorry, never use OE so don't know exactly where the option is set.

Thanks Stefan, I know what you mean and I think it will work as long as I put one address in the "to" box which will be mine!

You're a genius! Thanks..

Clare, make sure you test it first! Some (older) mail clients still put email addresses in the BCC field for the BCCd emails. I don't think Outlook [Express] is one of these, but it's best to check first.

The reason for this is the email standards are a little vague on how BCC should be used. The standard says that the "To" and "CC" recipients should not know about the "BCC" recipients, but it leaves it as optional as to whether or not the "BCC" recipients know about each other.

Most mail clients do hide the "BCC" recipients from each other, but they don't have to.

Hi Mark,

Have sent them all now and tested the "bcc" theory out before I sent it. I put my email address in the "to" field, and it looks like it was just sent to me.

Thanks for the reply
