Personally I use Outlook which synchronises with the calandar on my phone. You can set reminders etc. for any date in advance, and set recurring events weekly, annally etc.

do you use Microsoft Outlook?
if so, it has a Calendar & you can stick it in there (you can also set it to recur every year).
if you don't - I have no idea

Wow - Computer Related....? Just pop my anorak on then.... (Just in case IM spots me here....)
If you have Outlook Express click on Calendar and then just double click on the date you want and follow the instructions. I'm blonde and I followed it ok!
Or you could use your phone.....OR (and this may get the thread moved back to NSR) go to WH SMith - buy a calendar with space to write on - and do it the old fashioned way!
I tried all the other ways - but the old fashioned calendar worked best - I even get reminded when I'm not logged on!

You can set it to remind you however far in advance you want reminding - it's all on there.
And I am a wife - and the WH Smith Calendar is my source of reliable information.
I've never really trusted technology......

Important stuff, I use my phone (birthdays, anniversaries etc.). Unimportant stuff (work meetings etc ) I use outlook which has a pop up box that comes up at your choosing (e.g. half hour before the appointment, or a day or 23 minutes etc.). You can then 'snooze' it like you would an alarm clock.
