DVD burning in Win Xp
Just bought a DVD-RW drive and slapped it in the PC. System recognises it as a CD drive but I can't burn CDRs on it. Is this because it's a DVDRW drive? It should be able to write to CDR too....hmmm.
Also, what software do I need to allow me to copy to DVD? Any recommendations much appreciated

Any DVD writer should also burn CD'sm maybe you need drivers for it to be recognised? Good burning software is Nero (www.nero.com )and stuff from Roxio ( www.roxio.com ) . Nero is more specific for just burning stuff and the Roxio sofware will allow you to create movies and the like and burn to CD, DVD.

Nero is the best IMHO. I've also got OE Cyberlink DVD suite bundled with my LG DVD which is pretty good.
Alcohol 120% is said to be very good also. I'm hoping to "try before I buy" soon...
