Question Flash without internet?

My son has been loaned an educational CD from school that needs Flash player to play.

His computer doesn't have Flash. Mine does. He doesn't have an Internet connection, but does have IE5.5. The two computers are networked together.

Can I 'copy' Flash from my pc to his? Can I download an exe that can then be moved to his pc and run to install Flash?

All the info I can find assumes an Internet connection to install Flash on that pc only.

Any help gratefully received.

in the short, no. Unless you have the original exe file (the one that includes everything that starts the installation procedure). Be advised though both computers will not be able to run flash at the same time, the program will detect the second system and shut it down. You can download a plug in called shockwave which allows people to view, but not edit macromedia flash files. Visit macromedia.com and get it downloaded. I havent done it myself, (Flash comes with all the programs included so i didnt have to download it) but a quick email to them should clear it up. Also complain to the school for not being clever enough to have it produced as a projector file. It includes everything to make it work on any computer.

Sorry. Shockwave is what I was talking about. I can download and use it on my computer. But I don't seem to be able to transfer it to the target pc, or download a version for non internet enabled pc's. The 'download' is just a small kickstart exe.

I shall be complaining to the school. But OTOH not every pupil even has a computer at home.

That's the one that is only 5.5kB and acts as an installer, still requiring an Internet connection
