Default Xbox Modding

I have an Xbox with 20 odd original games, I also have 3 boys aged 5,7 and 8 who love the Xbox, however they are wrecking the games, Halo is scratched to f*ck and they have killed Merc World Racing entirely, have never done the modding thing before but I was thinking it might be wise to try it, i.e. use my DVD burner to back up my originals and let them use the backups.

Therefore how easy is this to acheive, whats the legality etc, I am not after wholesale piracy of loads of games just to protect what I have already spent or would it be cheaper/easier to buy the odd copy of Halo, not bothered about live, have been on it about a year and not really bothered and the wife and I dont want the kids on it as there a lot of people who swear a lot and according to my wife sound like Paedophiles, have to agree actually as I dont like being on line with some of them, never mind the kids, sure my wife thinks I am being groomed by a Southern bloke called 'SIRKiLLaLOT'.

Well it opens up the box to do sooo much more. It allows it to be a media centre with mp3 playback, dvd playback, store the games on the hard drive, etc. Connect it to your internal network and playback media from another machine, as well as supporting every wierd format you could think of ! It is well worth doing, just make sure its done properly.

soldered in mods are the best in my opinion
legal as long as copywrite code is not used
solder points are as big as the letter o in this post
small one is about the size of the hole in 8 if that makes sense
lots easier than this

Solder mods are the thing of the past.... you can now buy non-solder mods that take about 10 mins to fit, flash and get up and running.

Shaun.

i would have thought that flashing at your mods would have your thread deleted or is it a new policy i missed?
