I'm pretty sure it's not coming out on PC.

Buy an Xbox, it's better than the PS2 (Burnout 3 on xbox - same game as PS2 but much nicer graphics and xbox live support )

I'm going to buy this on the way home tonight, bit tired of Driving Simulators, this sounds like a bit of fun.

Thought xbox was pc based - so in theory it should be coming out for pc.

They did this with halo - then eventually it was out for pc

Doesn't quite work like that I'm afraid. The conversion would require quite a lot of development, (so it would work on non xbox hardware), plus I doubt there's as big a market for it on PC as there is on XBOX / PS2...

is that cos once you've smash one of the cars up quite badly they needed a really lumpy sounding engine?

How far through are you?

The majority of the USA seems relatively easy, but some of the Far East ones are a little trickier (PS2)

I love how the xbox owners say their version is sooo much better than the PS2 vers, then mention that EA have screwed online play and everyone keeps getting thrown out \ can't see rooms etc.. whilst PS2 owners are playing it online with no issues...

I'll take the one that works

I've only tried online for a short time, but had no problems on the Xbox at all. Graphically, the whole game is definitely a lot better looking than the PS2 version, especially when I play it on my 42" telly , seems to play smoother as well (although this might be an illusion caused by the higher resolution graphics)...

Not sure of the percentage, about 10hours play so far, the crash tests are very easy especially if you hit the x4 everytime....!!

Myk - I hope so, at the moment the x4 have been fairly easy to grab.....

My understanding was that both Xbox and PS2 run at a solid 60FPS, however I believe the Xbox has far greater antialiasing, thus it looks much cleaner than the PS2 version...

I had some trouble with XBox Live. Couldn't download something or other and kicked me off live at the end of every race. Other than that it's great, I love driving games but was getting very bored with online simulators and everyone bitching about playing by the rules, this is much more fun.

I've got all the golds on crashes in under 10 hours Some were pi$$ easy, others a bit more of a challenge. That with 1 or 2 race golds has given me 40% already

Thoroughly enjoying it though. Got to start on the races now.....

Have a feeling things are going to get a little tougher though

Hows this game compare to Burnout II on the Xbox? In all honesty I compared the realism/handling of the cars to the likes of GR2 so wasn't too impressed.

Xbox Live functionality was online scoreboard online which annoyed me totally.

Convince me its a better game

Not played Burnout 2 on Xbox, so can't really compare, but from what I've heard, it's a lot better.

You can't comapre to PGR2 as burnout is an arcade racer, whereas PGR is a simulation. Different types of game. A fairer comparison would be to something like ridge racer etc...

Personally, I got bored of PGR2 quite quickly, especially the online stuff. Every time I tried playing a game, people just kept moaning all the time about other people not keeping to the rules (bashing people off the track to get around corners etc). Might give it another go sometime though...

Burnout 3 is just plain fun
