Default 'RUN AS ADMIN' quick q to you pro's!

Missus needs to run a firewall type prog under her wIN 2000 login.
Q: how can I get this to run under my admin 'run as admin' permission every time she logs on? Currently works only the once, and needs 'run as' permission & my password each time.

Thx

can you just give her modify access over the folder that the firewall package is stored? i assume she has "user" rights. What firewall package are you running?

A firewall needs to run as a service so that it's running even when no one is logged in. Having it only run interactively when a user is logged in is useless.

Make the firewall exe a service, and then give the service admin rights.

Thanks guys but no luck (in not a 'real' admin you know )

Its a webroot product called spysweeper. The 'proper' McAfee firewall runs properly for any user on logon, although I dont see it launched in the startup folder for 'all users'. That would be WAY too simple and is the xtent of my knowledge, and where i was trying to put the .exe for spysweeper I'm afraid...
