Default Best Broadband for around £15 per month ?

All

Need to get Broadband at home mainly for accessing the Company Intranet & working from home (some big email files etc)
I would think 1mb would do, so any suggestions on the best currently.
There seems to be a price war on at the moment so happy to pay £15 per month tops, which I think will get me what I need.

Phone wise I am with NTL, TV is SKY (if that makes any difference)

Have a look on www.adslguide.org.uk - they have a list of all the UK ISPs with speeds, prices, customer reviews and so on.

For £15/month, frankly you'll struggle to get 512k though. I've just upgraded my Nildram account from 512k uncapped to 1Mbit PAYG, which has a sensible feature that if you go over the 1GB/mo included downloads, you just get charged a bit more for another 2GB and so on. Download loads of stuff in a particular month and the charge is capped at not much more than the unlimited service would have cost anyway - so unless you're always downloading loads of stuff you can't help but save money over the uncapped service. Plus, of course, it'll never cut you off because you've gone over quota.

if your fone is with NTL, then you can only get broadband from NTL, unless you want to have BT line.

You will need a BT line with any ADSL broadband.
NTL are cable only

I've just "re-graded" my PlusNet account to a 1Mb connection, with a limit of 1Gb per month, for £14.99 inc VAT. This also includes lots of web space, free domain hosting, unlimited email addresses and static IP address.
If you just surf the (scooby)net and work from home, 1Mb per month is fine.
If you go over the limit, you are automatically charged for the extra data when you use it (£2 per Gb).
Customer service is also fantastic.

More details here.

NTL will do me broadband without needing a phone line of any kind... will anyone else? Also, it seems those that are cheapest per month (often the "small guys") have a large connection \ install charge, whereas NTL etc do not... Sure it works out eventually but I'd rather have that saving in my pocket immediately...

(I have no need for a home phone line, me and the fiancee both run mobiles)
