Broadband gremlin
The saga of my crappy broadband service goes on!
For some reason when I go the make a phone call, I loose my ADSL carrier and everything stops. The lights on my router flash for a few seconds then the service comes back.
Have endearvourd to rtry and get an answer from Bombay but I though I'd ask some people that know what they're talking about!
Any offers?

I had exactly the same problem and it will probably boil down to your house wiring and if you are using filters on every single extension where there is a phone. If your router is plugged into the main phone socket I suggest a BT hard plate then you no longer need filters on the extension points as the ADSL signal has already been removed.

or

Go for the BT original from clarity if your Router is in the main socket.
Good Luck
Did you have ADSL hardwired from BT many years ago ?

I had the same problem, until I put "3" ADSL filters in. Also gets rid of white noise on the phone line.
One in between each of the two phones and sockets and an inline one for the ADSL modem to the socket.
Runs perfect now.

And I've just noticed this morning that the caller display isn't working on the downstairs phone yet it is on the upstairs phone (the one the router is connected to)!

Caller ID would drop out on my phone until I got a decent microfilter:
