couple of viruses on mates pc

couple of viruses on mates pc
Hi All
I have had a look on symantec.com to see if they have any removal tools for these viruses but for the life of me I cant see them.
My friend has these two viruses on his pc and NAV 2002 cant shift them.
trojan byte verify virus
mhtml redirect exploit virus
Should I tell him to get his *** down to pc world and get an up to date AV or is there a couple of tools out there that can remove them?
