Ok i went to micosoft web site downloaded service pack 2 and now when i go into outlook express none of the picyures in the e-mails are there like and advert from a company is just full of x's where there should be pictures any ideas cheers ?

Check the settings for the M$ firewall

You'll also see a small banner at the top of the mail (under the normal app header bar, but above the actual mail contents), that says 'the pictures are not displayed - click to display them' ....

I'm sure you can disable this, as clicking just switches on for this mail...

Open OE & go to TOOLS - OPTIONS - SECURITY and uncheck the Block images... box.
