Email problems - can anyone help?
Hi all
My Dad accidentally pressed yes to an online Microsoft outlook update and now his BTYahoo Email in box recieves no mail and it goes to Outlook now. Not only this but it has put all his old inbox messages into outlook.
He really wants it back on the BTYahoo online email system, but I cant work out how you transfer the contents of the Outlook inbox back to another programme. If you send the message back to yourself then it just sends your original sent item in each email.
Is it to do with folder synchronisation???
Any help would be a godsend as Im no expert at this game!!!
Thanks
Rob

Easiest will be to forward the mails to the BTYahoo account. I know that you will see all the mails as coming from yourself but that will be the easiest solution.
I assume the BT mail is a browser based system. In which case and unless someone knows better you will not be able to export your outlook based mail into .pst files and import them into BT mail system.

I'm not sure if it would work with BT Yahoo, but you might be able to set an IMAP account up between Outlook and BTY, and synchronize that way.

Thanks for your responses Jason and Figment.
We have tried to send mail to the account from outlook to BTYahoo but it just sends the original message without their full threads.
I will have a look at the IMAP account settings.
Thanks
