Default DVD Authoring question....

Using a Mac

I've got a 1hr 57 min-long movie that I've made. What can I use to write it onto DVD, as I-DVD will only do up to 90 mins.....

That can't be the total length of a DVD. I'm currently exporting at DV-quality compression in a hope that this will fit onto the DVD......

Any suggestions - I'm also using the latest Final Cut Pro, but TBH, my forte is the audio side of things

DVD Studio Pro 2 or 3 will do the trick for you. Really easy to use you might need to get a "trial" version I think.

I'm not sure but I think iMovie ver 4 supports longer timescales

I've managed to get a DV quality Quicktime movie, but it's 26 Gig

How do I get this onto a DVD - also need to author it (chapters etc)

I've only got iMovie 3.03 - can't seem to find an update from 3 - 4... is there one?

To go to version 4 you will need to buy the new iLife '04 suite, its £40 but worth it for the enhanced things in iMovie, iPhoto and iDVD.

Like I say though, it may be worth trying to find a copy of DVD Studio Pro if you can, its excellent and will solve the problems you are having.
