Not sure on your budget, but Maplins do some very nice kits for general PC/Server destruction/reconstruction work. Not quite Pro level, not quite cheap crap level.

Cheers

RS Components would be your best bet if you really are after quality.

I've ended up assembling my own bits. Can't say I need a chip puller these days...

My most used and treasured tool - a Leatherman PST II.

In my laptop rucksack (so much better than a laptop bag!), I've got a set of screwdriver bits from Screwfix. Includes all manner of security bits and small (ie T8) Torx bits which are essential for dismantling Compaq laptops and servers. Also got a magnetic bit holder to go with them, a pair of snips, loads of cable ties and enough cables to start a shop

Cheers guys - there dosn't seem to be one good set, us IT guys obvioulsy don't need a quality kit

It took me half a day to source a tiny torx bit to change a controller board on a hard disk, just thought there would be one quality kit that I would look after

We got a load of RS stuf at work for all the small fiddly torx bolts.

Also, even after I mocked it earlier, I have a cheap "mechanis" toolkit from woolies that has helped loads lol, 12.99 and has loads of torx/ex bits, plus a myriad of screwdrivers and sockets.

It's been used to take apart laptops as well as, at the other end of the spectrum, taking most of my engine apart
