Default no more audio after installation of a LPT card

I have a Medion PC MT6, type MED MT 189, with no LPT connection.
I have tried to install a LPT card. After that, the system do not see any audio card more.
I have uninstalled the LPT card, but the audio card is still unpresent.
I have also reset the default BIOS parameters, but.... nothing.
Who can help me?

Likely to be a clash of resources. IIRC LPT cards use IRQ5, most sound cards also use IRQ5. Check in the device manager to see if you have anything listed with a yellow ! mark.

However this depends on what OS you are using as newer ones use IRQ sharing and age of audio card/whether it is fully PNP etc.

I have already seen the device manager: no problems reported on it. All seems to run normally, no yellow nor red marks (actually, the sound card don't appear on the listing).
The OS is an XP home edition, and the PC is from february 2004.
The audio card is integreted on the mother board; what I really don't understand is why the system doesn't see no more audio peripherals.

Jules,
the LPT card is a Maxxtro EX-41011M
(I have removed the card already after the first reboot, days ago...)

Renix, what country are you based? All the info I can find on that card seems to be of Russian or European origin (ie. not english), so I'm a bit lost when it comes to finding documented problems.

Check bios settings first, to see if there are sound card related options that are now off.

Then try add new hardware in the control panel.

Let me know how it goes.

Jules,
I'm living in Switzerland...

I'm am checked the bios settings; and already reset to "optimized", but without results. In these settings the audio card seems to be set correctly. I see setting for a LPT port, too, even that port don't exist. Is it correct? I have tried to desactivate the LPT port, but without results.
My last try was to uninstall all the devices/drivers/peripheral under "audio", and uninstall the LPT port, too, and than let the system to recognize the situation.... still without result. Strange: the system always set an LPT port.... that don't exist. I fear that in some way the audio card is now set as an LPT card, and now the system can't recognize it. Is it possible? But the audio card is integreted on the mother board....
I am desperate.
