Question Playstation one through a PC?

Is there any way I can run A PS1 through my computer monitor?

I dont have room for both a TV and a monitor on the desk

Someone at work said you can get an adapter, is this true? Anyone know what it is called?
Cheers

have a look for the playstation emulator Bleam (poss Bleem).

does the smoothing similar to what the PS2 does with PS1 titles.

Could not find any info on this, but came across a VGA box. These were not cheap though, £31 was the cheapest I found.
I have also heard of software you can download to play your PS1 games directly on your PC. Anyone else hear this?

Erm yes - its called Bleem! with the exclamation mark, but its not free to download.

This sucessfully plays 80 percent of titles.

Cheers lightning, I am starting to get the idea now!

There did seem to be several sites offering free downloads, but there were several different versions (plus I can't download at work )

Would I then need a special controller to play the games?

May be cheaper to get the VGA box which would play all the games

I've got USB adapter to plug a DualShock 2 into the PC - it's absolutely great
