Angry Is my router shagg3d?

Just recently I’ve started using Azureus (a bit torrent client) and for some reason my router had started dropping all connections. It’s only for a second or two when I’m downloading files with Azureus, but when the computers lose their internet connection even only for two seconds they all need restarting which is annoying to say the least. It drops the connection at totally random times you might restart to get your net connection back and it will do it again within 10 second or it may be 5-6 hours. It only does this when downloading files with Azureus, just surfing the net is fine, I’ve tried plugging my computer directly into the cable modem and it will happily download for hours with no problems. I’m thinking it’s the router which is ether fooked or has some sort of problem with Azureus.

Any ideas or should I just get a new one

It'll be OK for a while.... then the connection drops.... have to reboot comp...

I had this happen On my netgear router.... and on my current BT voyager adsl modem

I don't think it's the hardware........

My mcafee regisered 25k hits..... in an afternoon having a go on a bit toorent client......

I did have 50k hits once........ don't bother anymore as it recks the connection
