XBox Live again!
Just received my starter kit from the lovely folks at Amazon..
2 questions.. If I enter the 12 month code will this period start after my 2 month free trial ends do you think..or will I lose the remainder of this (almost a full 2 months)..Not sure how smart it is..Tried to call the Support Number but it's constantly busy!
What Live enabled games do you guys recommend? I have PGR2, TOCA2, Amped 2 and Top Spin already.. Will pop down to the cheapy 2nd hand games shop on Rathbone Place in London tomorrow and see what they have..
Are Links 2004, Midtown Madness 3, Moto GP 1 or 2, Secret Weapons Over Normandy worth buying for the Online bits? Do the older games like this still get played online much?

Greg, should carry on the subscription from what you have left. I think you might have to wait until you are in the last month of the trial though. I waited until the last week, and all it did was extend the expiry date a whole year from what it currently was, so should be ok.
Links is quite fun online, but not action packed. You can play real-time with mates and chat whilst playing, or do tournaments where you have to complete a round by a certain date/time competing against a number of opponents.
I've got Secret Weapons Over Normandy, but not been online with it yet
It's quite good fun in the single player aspect of it though. Quite arcadey so you don't have to be a flying ace to keep the thing in the air (which is good).

I recommend for good online play:

Amped 2
Rallisport Challenge 2
MotoGP 2 (1 comes with the live kit but you need the full game to unlock all the extra bits on live)
Rainbow Six 3
Crimson Skies

PGR2 is very good, Toca is OK (IMHO), Links is good and Top Spin is the greatest ever if you like Tennis. If you want a game add RB5 to your Friends list. I am on everynight playing

Doesnt the free trial auto extend for 12 months and charge you £40 unless you cancel it.
I have my starter kit downstairs but havent activated it yet as i've too much on at the moment to use it.
When I do, PGR2 and Toca will be my games of choice.

i use to be on live till 4 in the morning sometimes, till some ba$tard burgled my house!
but motogp2 was never the same after the big reset about 10 months ago.
unreal championship is another cracking game on live!
