Default More DVD Burning help!

Hello

I am at a complete loss with my DVD Recorder (an admitedly cheap Emprex 8*DVD+-R):

When I create a DVD compilation, only some DVD readers will read it back? My ThinkPad laptop wont, My Dell Laptop Will, my Xbox wont etc..

I have tried all possible options, and both HP and Sony Media.

Any suggestions?

Thanks!

Steve.

files are fully DVD compliant Mpeg2 and sound stream is at 48Khz?. you should use tmpeg 2.5 to ensure that dvd files are compliant. i wouldnt use anything else. the likes of dvdlab, scenarist can do re-encoding and muxing on the fly but i would rather have all the files compliant before the muxing process starts.
just my 2p worth.

cheers

Hello

Thank you for your replies. I'm not actually trying to do anything complicated: Burn a DVD in my home computer and then read it in my ThinkPad laptop (and if I'm lucky on the X-Box!).

But I still can't do it. As I mentioned, my Dell Laptop will read the DVD's fine.

Make sure your burning at the right speed. If its cheap discs that are 1x rated, and your burner's a 2x/4x etc it wont work.
