Web page Authoring
Ive got 55Mb of web space to use with my ISP. I currently have a basic and old site on it, and am going to update it.
How can you get the front page to load just by going to the domain name?
What I want to do is go to the domain and see the front page autoload. So my link will be www.homepage.co.uk instead of how it I currently do it which is www.homepage.co.uk/home.
Many thanks
Simon

When you upload your content, does it place you in a /home folder initially? If you dont know, what program do you use to upload your content? You may have it as /home on your local PC, so its putting it in the right place but its copying the /home from your home setup.
If you are putting it up to the "root" of your website (ie. / ) then there is a config issue at the ISP and you'll need to speak to them moving it from /home to /
More info will help a bit here

OK, I will try to explain using my actual site.
What I want is this to load http://homepage.ntlworld.com/verminhunter/homepage.htm , but when you got to http://homepage.ntlworld.com/verminhunter .
I use Terepin FTP to upload to the server.

Cool. Just rename homepage.htm to index.htm or index.html or default.htm (depending on how the server is set up).
This index page will then be looked for by the server when someone visits http://homepage.ntlworld.com/verminhunter/
Hope that helps,
Jules

Try renaming homepage.htm to index.htm. Most web servers have this automatically set as the default page, and if it is there, it will display it....

You need to call it one of the dafault page names for the host - these are usually default.htm, default.html, index.htm or index.html (and sometimes other things like index.asp if on a windows server). Try renaming your page to one of those and see if it will work.
