Angry Windows Security & Critical updates

Only looked a couple of days ago but today Micro$oft are telling me I need FIVE ! updates.

Windows is like a bluddy sieve. Anyone want to teach me the basics of Linux.

Once you've learn to live with Linux you'll also need to find out where to look for the security updates. At least with MS they release them at a fixed time and will even go as far as downloading and installing them for you.

Very true. All os's need security updates. The frequency tends to depend of the level of hacker activity, and seeing as windows hackers outnumber those for other platforms by very large amounts, you're going to have to download updates more frequently. At leadt Microsoft respond quickly to any problems found.

As an aside, for anyone using Mozilla Firefox, they've just release a new version containing a load of security fixes so it's probably worth upgrading to the latest version....

That's hillarious, I read about hundreds of people moving to Firefox because they were fed up with the security holes in IE!

MS release their updates monthly, on the 2nd Tuesday of each month, so all is quiet on the patches for four weeks from now. Or so they say.
