Mpeg2 to DVD
Have got myself a tv capture card which can capture to mpeg2 or a dvd format which produces .dat files. Can anyone advise what applications I will need to burn either of these onto a watchable dvd, nero doesnt seem to have an option as far as i can see.
Thanks

TMPGEnc DVD Author is the tool you're after.
Will splice/convert mpeg2 or dat files into .vobs (DVD format) in a VIDEO_TS folder.
You simply then burn this (and an AUDIO_TS folder), as a data disk and Robert's your mothers brother.
I'm sure if you search Tucows etc you'll find a 30day evaluation copy of this to see how you get on.

Does it need to do something else before launching the wizard as that just asks for seperate audio/video files.
Thanks

From memory, you simply:
1) Create new project
2) Add files (mpeg2 or dat)
3) Chapter cut/edit
4) Create menu
5) Output (to destination folder)
I've never been prompted for seperate video & audio files. saying that, i've never used the wizard either.

If you don't have any joy with the above, give Movie Factory 3 a whirl.
Again, an evaluation copy is available; www.ulead.com
