Question Internet Explorer problem

I've just installed ad aware and spy bot on a friends computer, after running ad aware I went into Ie to browse the web. For some reason it will only go to sites if I enter http:// at the beginning of the address where as before It would go just by typing www.

Any ideas on whats gone wrong and how I can change it back?

Cheers
