Default Out of date Toner

I know that out of date ink jet cartridges can be risky, but anyone have any experince of using out of date Laser Toner?

Toner may not be distributed evenly on paper, and if so may get deposits on fusing unit roller. If this happens you will get marks on every sheet that is printed.
Saying that , this could happen with supposedly "good" stock.
If you do use it, give it a good shake before taking off any wrapping. Loosens all toner up.
